Very nice building and room. Breakfast was meybe not quite value for money, but the breakfast room had a lovely view and the staff were friendly.

I was impressed with the initial welcome of the staff. The room was clean, well decorated and comfortable as well as very good value for money. The room's bathroom was not too small and even had a bath. The Food and wine in the restaurant (and the service there) was excellent and good value. It was very convenient for our stay (right on the seafront)and there was even free parking. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would happily choose to stay there again.

    Excelllent value and comfort.

The breakfast service was great and it was unusual to order the cooked breakfast and then have it served freshly cooked rather than buffet style in heated dishes that often are luke warm, dry and shrivelled up.

The room was freezing when we arrived. It would have been better if the heaters had been turned up and the room warm on our arrival. The bathroom looked tired with mould round the bath sealant.

We really enjoyed the dinner we had in the hotel restaurant. Our waiter, Andre was fantastic.

Our room was in dire need of an overhaul. The drapes and bed hangings were faded and ragged.

Size of the room - we booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children - space really helps with young children. Breakfast included fish options which was a bonus as we don't eat pork.

Sky TV would have been appreciated. Bathrooms could do with modernising.

on one night the food was good otherwise rubbish plus flooded bathroom

no one sorted our bathroom out have to go to another room for a shower

the hotel was very grand looking from the outside, but was even better inside. The bedroom was very spacious, clean, bright, comfortable. We had a great nights sleep. The view out of the windows straight on to the beach, and the crashing waves of the sea, sounded amazing especially at night when it was pitch black out at sea.It was excellent for food, there was plenty of chose on the main strip, chinese, italian, indian, even nepalese, will definitely be going back very soon.

All the staff were pleasant and competent when dealing with requests. The room was large and comfortable and the hotel is delightful.

The room was very spacious! Location was really good - right next to the beach.

There was no mini bar & it was a very hot day!

My partner and i loved the location, and we enjoyed the walk along the seafront into HastingsWe never ate at the horel,so cannot comment on that side of it,although we did take some pictures of the resturant, which was impeccable

My partner asked at the bar if the lady did cocktails (this was all put in my comments on the paper sheet i handed in)She said that she didn't really do them and it would be expensive ! At no point did she enquire about whether we stil wanted one or even hinted at how 'expensive' it might be.My partner then ordered two Malibu and coke, the coke was so flat, and utterly tastelessOn it being commented on,the lady promptly opened and poured in a bottle of coke (i imagine she thought that would automatically make it better?) What she should bave done, was to at least apologise and give us fresh drinks, we drank and went to a nearby cocktail bar, which was so much better

The decor and space of the hotel was stunning. Staff were very friendly and professional. Was near a wedding venue that we attended. Was 100% happy with our stay.

The sofa in the room was very pretty but not comfortable for my husband, who had a back pain problem. Maybe there should be a small area that could accomodate smokers.

the location was excellent. the staff friendly and helpful.

that there was no designated smoking area. had to keep standing at the front of the hotel.

It reminds you of the type of hotel from the thirties where you may find Hercule Poirot and has impresssive sized rooms.
